Treatment Information

Microneedling is a non-invasive but extremely effective skin rejuvenation treatment that encourages natural collagen production. This procedure is carried out by using very small sterile needles to make tiny holes into the skin allowing serums to penetrate into the skin stimulating a healing response and kickstarting your skin to produce collagen and elastin

A course of 4 is highly recommended for optimal results each treatment 4 weeks apart.

Each session comes with a soothing face mask and after-care serum is provided to take home as part of your home care routine

Microneedling can be combined with a chemical skin peel for optimal results.

The Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling is a process that is used to tackle a variety of skin conditions.

Microneedling can help to improve dull skin, combat the initial signs of age, help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and trigger collagen production as a natural part of the process.

Other benefits of microneedling include helping to smooth out and prevent some of the scars caused by chicken pox and acne, as well as helping to fade some of the dark patches caused by pigmentation due to sun damage or aging.

Dermaplaning is a procedure in which the skin is manually exfoliated to remove the build-up of dead skin and fine hairs also known as peach fuzz which can leave your skin looking brighter with a smoother and youthful appearance

Dermaplaning is not recommended for anyone with the following skin conditions

Acne
Roseacre
Psoriasis
Eczema
Sunburn

Downtime can be up to 48 hours after the procedure which can be slight redness, tingling, or burning.

Dermaplaning in more detail

Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment performed using a scalpel. The process works by removing the outermost layers of skin to exfoliate the area underneath. As a process, it is completely harmless and safe to do. However, we only recommend it for your face. If you have dermaplaning done, the result is often smoother, brighter skin, but at the same time, the removal of “peach fuzz”.

Every time you make a stroke, you remove dead skin cells from the surface. Once you finish exfoliating using derma planning, the skin is left much smoother. You can also minimise the appearance of fine lines with constant treatment.

Who would benefit from Dermaplaning

This treatment is ideal for clients who are either pregnant or nursing because it helps them get the exfoliation they want but gets around the issue of not being allowed to use peeling agents on the skin (the chemicals can be unwittingly absorbed into the body and impact the child).

It is also a good first choice for those clients who have an excessive amount of vellus hair on their skin because this type of hair can cause a major buildup of oils and dirt inside the hair follicles, and removing them can give you much healthier-looking skin.

What can you expect

By removing this layer of skin, it is also a lot easier for some types of skin care products and other substances to get into the deeper layers easier. It is a recommended procedure to prepare the skin for other types of treatments as well, especially laser treatments or chemical peels.

You’ll find that we often use dermaplaning for clients who have dry skin, rough skin, mild acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation. The finished product is a refined, glowing, and overall “smoother” appearance.

A skin peel uses the power of naturally occurring acids and active ingredients to help brighten and exfoliate the skin. The treatment is made for a few different purposes – collagen production, new cell growth, and creating healthier, clearer, and brighter skin.

How Does a Skin/Chemical Peel Work?

A skin peel is designed to exfoliate the skin and actively attempts to force it to renew itself. It does so by creating fresh, new skin cells in the body. These cells help a lot with renewal because they stimulate the natural production of collagen and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines at the same time.

Skin peel treatments like ours use special enzymes and acids for the purpose of exfoliating away layers of skin. The finished product helps to reveal and create fresher, clearer, more youthful skin just beneath the surface.

The blend of ingredients that you will see in a skin peel has been designed to help reduce the appearance of open pores, and actively remove dead skin cells. You can also use them to target blemishes, pigmentation, and acne, as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a treatment that is used all over the world to treat a range of skin conditions, so it is very safe for you to try out. All of the results can be life-changing.
